We have to start our story by sharing how we met, as two passionate speech language pathologists working together from the very start. We first met while having a conversation from across a screen as Jessica interviewed Brittany for a job. Surprise! Brittany got the job! And unexpectedly, while Brittany was celebrating her first day, Jessica was celebrating her beautiful son’s birth!

Fast forward a couple years. Unexpected events brought us together and led us to the creation of The Play Society.

We knew we were the perfect pair to found The Play Society because we embody the right balance of qualities: emotional yet rational, efficient yet thorough, detailed yet concise, adaptable and resourceful, empathetic and analytical. It’s like having Prosecco and a slice of cake for breakfast.

Listening to music while driving to get coffee one day, we started to share our ideas about our future. In doing so, we were inspired. Never did we think this car ride and this conversation would change our life trajectory. And it did!

We will never forget brainstorming during that car ride, and the moment we spoke “The Play Society” into existence. From that point, we were determined to turn this dream into fruition.

Jessica’s journey through motherhood has been a guiding factor in the creation of The Play Society. Being a mother, Jessica strives to create a nurturing environment free from judgement, where caregivers can connect, grow with one another and thrive.

On the other side of our duo, Brittany’s experience working in preschool, combined with her passions in her field of work, her creative outlets, and her community, fueled our mission!

Working together to bring you The Play Society has been incredible, and we can’t wait to share this joy with you.
